Marc Dominus
In 2018, having waited until the age of 65, Marc Dominus transitioned a lifetime passion for painting into his full-time profession. Using pallet knives, spatulas, credit cards, and other found objects, he manipulates paints into layers of shape, color, and texture, with the aim of communicating the inspiration, joy, and energy he experiences when painting.
Marc’s work reflects his experimentation with the interplay of color on the shallow depth of the canvas, seek to convey the interconnected energy I observe in the world, and convey emotions which for me are not expressed with words.
Laura Moore
After a successful career as a VP of Technology for a Fortune 500 company, Laura Moore studied art in Paris, France, while living there for two and a half years and then achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2006. Her Project 1O3 was born in the summer of 2023 as a collaboration endeavor. Laura Moore began the process of preparing 103 pieces of art to be handed off to a second artist for their response. Each piece of art started as a full sheet of heavy duty watercolor paper. Several of them are on display at YAM! Laura has had many solo exhibitions and awards and has been featured in the Dallas Morning News, Dallas Style & Design, Texas Monthly and McKinney Magazine. Her work is in many private and corporate collections including Independent Bank, Residence Inn, The Catholic Foundation and The American Church in Paris, France, where she was awarded a 2012 Artist-in-Residence.

She paints with spirit and mystery often using mixed media and texture to bring her artwork to life. She searches for new ways to express herself through her work and has been called a “21st Century” artist. Her work excites and stirs the emotions. Clara finds inspiration from hiking in nature, people watching, listening to music, and from her spiritual journey.
Clara’s work is presented as part of our collaboration with the White Rock Artists’ Studio Tour.
Jim Hastings
Jim is a long-time resident of East Dallas and has been making art since he was a kid. He credits his high school teacher with inspiring him to take as many art classes as he could — as many as 5 in one day! He graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute with a Bachelor of Fine Arts before becoming an art teacher in the public school system. In 2017, he began offering art instruction from his home, which lead to the development of Ranch House Studio, where he provides solid, classically based art instruction.
Jim’s work is presented as part of our collaboration with the White Rock Artists’ Studio Tour.
